To noteikti sajutīs arī studenti!

Mūsu pasniedzēji

Ian Raby

Director of Studies, Cambridge Centre Coordinator

Qualifications: BA, CELTA, Delta (M1), Delta (M2), IHBET, IH121, IH CYLT Trainer

I think it’s important that students not only feel they have made progress but have actual evidence that progress has taken place. At the end of the day, all you want is for students to feel more confident and competent by the end of their course.

 Sally MacAndrew

Assistant Director of Studies, Young Learner Co-ordinator

Qualifications: BA, CELTA, Delta, IHCYL, IHVYL, IHCYL Trainer

I teach mostly young learners, so what I’d really like, is for them to have learnt something outside English by the end. I love using English to expand what my students actually know, as well as what they can say.

James Egerton

Senior English Language Teacher

Qualifications: BA, Delta

Having had the chance to learn languages since my time at school, this has given me an insight into the frustrations and rewards of studying languages, so I can empathise with my students studying English and use my own experiences to help me plan lessons.

Bronte Ainsley

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: BA, CELTA

I wanted to become I teacher since I went to secondary school, I admired how the teachers would have a friendly but professional relationship with us. It’s inspired me to be the kind of teacher that my students will respect as well as look forward to my lessons.

Alister McCarty

YL/EFL English Language Teacher

Qualifications: BSc, PGCE, CELTA

By the end of a course I would like students to feel that they can actually put what they’ve learnt into practice in whatever situation each individual requires. I hope students will have developed their confidence, fluency, accuracy and competency in tangible ways.

Kelly Brennan

Senior English Language Teacher

Qualifications: TESOL

- Using drama and theatre techniques in the ESL classroom is an excellent way for students to explore the language. It makes it fun, memorable and communicative. This focus on speaking provides students with useful life skills, such as, giving presentations, partaking in interviews and public speaking.

Oaklee Pumpurs

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: CELTA

- I found the CELTA course to be extremely valuable in that it provided me with the knowledge, confidence, and practical experience needed to begin developing my own skills as an English teacher. The course is packed full of teaching techniques and approaches that very much focus on promoting communication among students

Maren Schroeder

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: CELTA

I believe my students benefit from the fact that I am bilingual teacher who spent long periods of time in the USA, Germany and England. Settling in these countries and shaping a career across borders have provided me with a wealth of lessons that school hadn't provided me with.

Robert Hancock

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: CELTA

I would hope students end the course with a sense of achievement from what they have done throughout the academic year. Our students are here for varying reasons, but they are all committed and enthusiastic about learning, and they should be able to look back at their progress with pride.

Lewis Londsdale

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: CELTA

- There are a number of things I would like my students to feel when they leave at the end of the lesson. Firstly, they should feel confident and inspired to use the language presented to them in the outside world. Secondly, they should feel excited as lessons should be fun as well as educational. Finally, the ability to use English fluently comes from the student's determination and motivation to improve.

Supam

English Language Teacher

- Teaching very young learners is challenging but fun! Very young learners are at a crucial developmental stage. It's a real pleasure to tune into a child's interests and put their creativity and imagination into the learning process.

Marina Jelisejeva

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: MA, CELTA, IH CYLT

- One of the things I really want they feel after the course is the feeling of confidence.  I love teaching adults and I am trying hard to persuade them to start flying! I like Walt Disney’s statement “First, think. Second, believe. Third, dream. And finally, dare.” And I believe teachers might help their students dare.

Margarita Ulitska

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: IHCC

 - Working at IH Riga-Satva is big responsibility and pleasure for me. I am the happiest professional: I love my job and my students and, I hope, my students love me too.

Viktorija Chesnovicka

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: BA, MA, CELTA

- I have always wanted to become a teacher. As a child I used to put my dolls around the room on the chairs and show them different pictures in the books. Later on I was inspired by my English teacher at secondary school. She was strict but friendly, beautiful and very intelligent. Since then I have decided to become an English teacher too.

Irina Piskorska

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: IHCC

- "Inspired students" learn much faster, that is why I do my best to create the most enjoyable learning atmosphere for students.

Nadia Stankevich

English Language Teacher

- I truly love my job, I enjoy seeing my students’ progress. Lovely atmosphere as well as very helpful colleagues  and staff make working at Satva wonderful!

Anna Pelevina

English Language Teacher

- I suppose that IH Riga teachers really like their job and mission. They have a strong desire, not only to teach students, but also to improve their skills and talents. Teachers are ready to acquire more knowledge about  the educational process and exchange their experiences with their colleagues and students. IH Riga teachers start the process of teaching by looking at themselves first and they develop with students together.
