To noteikti sajutīs arī studenti!

Mūsu pasniedzēji

Arlene Bustard

Director of Studies, Cambridge Centre Coordinator

Qualifications: MA, Delta, IHCYLT and CELTA Trainer

- Education and Lifelong learning have become passions of mine. I want to motivate my students and teachers and build a strong, positive learning environment for all. It is important to me that students and teachers leave the classroom feeling inspired and enthusiastic about language learning.

 Sally MacAndrew

Assistant Director of Studies, Young Learner Coordinator

Qualifications: BA, CELTA, Delta, IHCYL, IHVYL, IHCYL Trainer

I teach mostly young learners, so what I’d really like, is for them to have learnt something outside English by the end. I love using English to expand what my students actually know, as well as what they can say.

Kelly Brennan

Assistant Director of Studies

Qualifications: TESOL, Delta

- Using drama and theatre techniques in the ESL classroom is an excellent way for students to explore the language. It makes it fun, memorable and communicative. This focus on speaking provides students with useful life skills, such as, giving presentations, partaking in interviews and public speaking.

Balthazar Lauzon

Assistant Director of Studies

Qualifications: MSc, Delta, CELTA Trainer, Delta local tutor

- One important thing to realize as a language teacher is that our students will only be in our classrooms for a short period of their language learning 'journey'. If we can help them develop as language learners during this time, so that they are better equipped to learn from the language they are exposed to outside the classroom, then I believe we have truly achieved something as teachers.

Alister McCarty

YL/EFL English Language Teacher

Qualifications: BSc, PGCE, CELTA

By the end of a course I would like students to feel that they can actually put what they’ve learnt into practice in whatever situation each individual requires. I hope students will have developed their confidence, fluency, accuracy and competency in tangible ways.

Holly Coulter

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: BA, CELTA

- I love to encourage people and see them grow in confidence. My goal in class is to have a team atmosphere where we respect and help each other.

Oaklee Pumpurs

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: CELTA

- I found the CELTA course to be extremely valuable in that it provided me with the knowledge, confidence, and practical experience needed to begin developing my own skills as an English teacher. The course is packed full of teaching techniques and approaches that very much focus on promoting communication among students

Greg Witherspoon

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: TESOL, MA

-  For me, a fun and entertaining lesson is paramount to learning. The chances of retaining new information is much more likely if the students are engaged and enjoying themselves. After a long day at school, university, or work, I want students to look forward to coming to English class.

Aldo Certullo

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: BA, CELTA

-  I try to inspire my students by creating an effective learning environment in which students not only know what they are doing, but why and how. The classroom should be a place of learning for everybody. Hopefully, by the end of each lesson, both my students and I will have learnt something new.

Marina Jelisejeva

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: MA, CELTA, IH CYLT

- One of the things I really want they feel after the course is the feeling of confidence.  I love teaching adults and I am trying hard to persuade them to start flying! I like Walt Disney’s statement “First, think. Second, believe. Third, dream. And finally, dare.” And I believe teachers might help their students dare.

Madisson Pillikse

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: CELTA, BIntSt

-  It’s my belief that an open and respectful classroom environment is the most conducive for learning. By providing this space to learn, I am able to inspire and foster a love of the English language in my students.

Vlada Saveljeva

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: IHCYL

- I have travelled all over the world, worked with kids of different nationalities and brought my experience into teaching. I desire to inspire kids to learn language as it will open all the doors for them in the future.

Margarita Ulitska

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: IHCC

- Working at IH Riga-Satva is big responsibility and pleasure for me. I am the happiest professional: I love my job and my students and, I hope, my students love me too.

Viktorija Chesnovicka

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: BA, MA, CELTA

- I have always wanted to become a teacher. As a child I used to put my dolls around the room on the chairs and show them different pictures in the books. Later on I was inspired by my English teacher at secondary school. She was strict but friendly, beautiful and very intelligent. Since then I have decided to become an English teacher too.

Irina Piskorska

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: IHCC

- "Inspired students" learn much faster, that is why I do my best to create the most enjoyable learning atmosphere for students.

Linda Bidiņa

Latviešu valodas pasniedzēja

- Palīdzēt citiem - tas ir prieks un aicinājums. Aicinām pie mums - apgūt jaunu, pilnveidoties, piedalīties sarunās un grupās. Uz tikšanos!

Tatiana Tarovika

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: BA, IHCYL, IHVYL

-  I believe that a foreign language should be acquired rather than learnt, almost in the same way as we pick up our first language. I am very happy that I can pursue this idea here, at IH Riga, and give my students an opportunity to study as naturally as possible.

Inna Zaderijeva

English Language Teacher

Qualifications: IHCYL

- I feel like it is amazing to be a part of a different language world: to be able to speak with this world, to respond to it. And this is even more precious that you can help other people to enter this world and show them wider possibilities.

Anna Upeniece

Insegnante di Lingua Italiana

Certificato: DITALS
