Doctor
Should you require any medical attention, or need advice on any health matters, you will need to speak to one of the admin. staff. It may be the case that you will be directed to the nearest chemist’s (aptieka) with advice on which medicine you need. Don’t worry, someone will always accompany you to help you get across your point if need be.
The school will register you with a local doctor and you will pay the same price for an appointment as Latvians do - currently 1 Lat
Please note that the school will not be responsible for treatment of sports / horseriding / skiing accidents and the like, or for injuries sustained while travelling outside Latvia.
Opticians
You may find that glasses and contacts here are much cheaper than at home. ‘Vision Express’ is at Marijas 3, just around the corner from the school.
